He currently serves as Global Energy Director at Essity, where he is responsible for global energy strategies and procurement equivalent to approximately 11 TWh annually, as well as driving initiatives related to sustainability and investments in renewable energy.
Previously, Stefan held executive roles as Vice President and Business Area Manager at Eskilstuna Strängnäs Energi och Miljö, where he was responsible for operations within energy, recycling, and infrastructure, while leading major change and growth initiatives. He has also served as CEO and COO of the biogas company Biond, and held several senior positions at Stockholm Exergi, focusing on fuel strategy, market analysis, and systems development.
Stefan holds an Executive MBA from Stockholm University and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He combines deep technical expertise with commercial leadership and possesses broad experience in international business, investments, and sustainability-driven development.
