Clean Shift Greece M.IKE. takes the next step in green energy – progressing steadily toward establishing a biogas plant in Larissa, Greece

Athens, May 22, 2025 – Clean Shift Greece M.IKE., a wholly owned subsidiary of Clean Shift Sweden AB, today announces significant progress in its first biogas project in Greece. The project marks an important step in the company’s ambition to accelerate the green transition through innovative and sustainable energy solutions, with biogas playing a key role.

License approval for increased capacity to 1.5 MW
The recently approved license application for our upcoming facility in the Larissa region allows for a capacity increase from 0.5 MW to 1.5 MW. The license is valid for 25 years, until June 2050, and represents a crucial milestone in our long-term commitment to renewable energy in the region.

Establishment and local developments
The planned biogas facility will be constructed on land now 100% acquired. The project is currently in the environmental permitting phase. We have also secured all necessary permits for connecting to the public electricity grid, enabling direct delivery of green electricity to the market.

Biological fertilizer – a circular resource
As part of the project’s integrated approach, the facility will be equipped with technology to process the by-product of biogas production – a high-quality biological fertilizer. We plan to sell it in bulk directly to farmers, as well as through resellers to the consumer market.

Financing and future growth
We are in ongoing discussions with several interested investors who recognize the potential of the project and our long-term strategy. In parallel, we have completed a cost and impact analysis in preparation for a potential future stock market listing to support future expansion and capital needs.
